In the past of time, microbes are possibly the first beings that inhabited our planet. They have been the cause of diseases and pandemics throughout history. Today, in the 21st century, the danger of these infectious diseases and pandemics is maximum and mortality due to microbes is an issue of great social impact. In the future of times, the Microbiome and Metagenomics appear as saviors of the future man.
