Cien años después, la fiesta celebrada el 6 de enero de 1923 en la casa de la familia García Lorca puede considerarse un hecho excepcional dentro de la historia del teatro español contemporáneo. Como conmemoración del acontecimiento, este artículo procura explicar su alcance para la re-novación teatral acaecida durante la Edad de Plata. Se enmarca primero su lugar en la trayectoria lorquiana, rastreando el proyecto del Teatro Cachi-porra Andaluz y los planteamientos que rigen su diálogo con la tradición. Se reconstruye después el desarrollo de aquella sesión, atendiendo a sus distintos elementos, su importancia y su sentido a la luz del contexto renovador.
One hundred years later, the festival held on January 6, 1923 at the home of the García Lorca family can be considered an excepcional event in the history of contemporary Spanish theater. As a commemoration of the event, this paper tries to explain its scope in the theatrical renewal that occurred in the Silver Age of Spanish Literature. Its place in Lorca’s trajectory is framed first, tracing the project of the Teatro Cachipor-ra Andaluz as well as the approaches that govern its dialogue with tradition. The development of the session is reconstructed below, taking into account its different elements, its importance and its meaning in light of the renewing context.
