El presente artículo reconstruye la historia de las tentativas de traducción del Curso de lingüística general (Saussure, 1916) al ruso a principios de los años 20 –las primeras, cronológicamente, de que se tengan noticias–, y contribuye a la recuperación del ámbi-to intelectual moscovita y de las redes epistolares que favorecieron la difusión de las ideas de Saussure en Moscú, cuyos ecos impactarían directamente en la producción del Círculo Lingüístico de Praga. El análisis permite un mejor entendimiento de las circunstancias inherentes a la primera recepción de la obra de Saussure en Rusia, par-ticularmente en Moscú, y de las consecuencias que estas circunstancias tuvieron en el desarrollo posterior de la lingüística, especialmente en la vertiente llamada “estructural”.
This paper reconstructs the history of the attempts to translate the Course in General Linguistics (Saussure, 1916) into Russian in the early 1920s –the first, chronologically, to be known– and contributes to the recovery of the intellectual environment and of the epistolary networks that favored the diffusion of Saussure’s ideas in Moscow –whose echoes would later have a direct impact on the production of the Linguistic Circle of Prague. We hope to contribute to a better understanding of the circumstances inherent to the first reception of Saussure’s work in Russia, particularly in Moscow, and of the consequences that these circumstances had on the later development of linguistics, especially on the so-called “structural” current.
