Tiburón, de Lagartijas tiradas al sol, construye en escena un juego de engaños teatrales entre realidad y reescrituras. Animado por el deseo de revivir aquel asombro por la naturaleza americana que el misionero José María de Barahona había experimentado durante su viaje a la isla Tiburón en el Mar de Cortés, en 2019 Lázaro zarpa hacia la misma isla para retomar los pasos del fraile y así escribir su tesis de Antropología sobre la tribu de los Tokáriku. El único actor en escena se desdobla en dos (¿o más?) personajes en una mise en abyme intertextual que mezcla la ficción y las crónicas, la novela histórica y el teatro documental, la ‘civilización’ y la ‘barbarie’.
Tiburón, by Lagartijas tiradas al sol, constructs on stage a game of theatrical deceptions between reality and rewritings. Inspired by the desire to relive the awe of American nature that the missionary José María de Barahona had experienced during his journey to Tiburón Island in the Sea of Cortés, in 2019 Lázaro sets sail for the same island to retrace the steps of the friar and thus write his Anthropology thesis on the Tokáriku tribe. The only actor on stage splits into two (or more?) characters in an intertextual mise en abyme that mixes fiction and chronicles, historical novel and documentary theatre, ‘civilisation’ and ‘barbarism’.
