A comment by Maragall about a poem by Machado allows us to hypothesize that the Catalan poet was interested in Pascoli’s poetry; on the other hand, the obvious thematic and even textual coincidences between Maragall and Pascoli can be read in terms of coinciding readings and their rewriting in the respective works.
