En este texto se incluye la entrevista realizada a Wolfgang Mieder, profesor emérito de la Universidad de Vermont, paremiólogo y paremiógrafo de prestigio mundial y editor de la revista Proverbium desde 1984 hasta 2021. Wolfgang Mieder hace un recorrido desde el comienzo de su carrera, como doctorando en la Universidad de Michigan, hasta la actualidad, explicando las circunstancias que le llevaron a adentrarse en el mundo de los refranes, indicando qué significado tienen estas paremias en su vida y presentando sus investigaciones. En cuanto a los estudios paremiológicos, comenta cómo han evolucionado con el paso de los años, cuáles han sido las líneas de investigación principales y qué diferencias observa entre Estados Unidos y Europa. A continuación, cuenta cómo llegó a ser editor de la revista Proverbium, que había nacido en Finlandia, de manos del paremiólogo Matti Kuusi, y de su implicación en un proyecto editorial que ha formado parte de su vida durante cerca de cuarenta años. Por último, reflexiona sobre la revista Paremia, posibles líneas de investigación en paremiología, el futuro de los refranes y su propio futuro.
This text includes an interview with Wolfgang Mieder, professor emeritus at the University of Vermont, world-renowned paremiologist and paremiographer and editor of the journal Proverbium from 1984 to 2021. Wolfgang Mieder takes a journey from the beginning of his career, as a PhD student at the University of Michigan, to the present day, explaining the circumstances that led him to enter the world of proverbs, indicating what meaning these paremias have in his life and presenting his research. Regarding to paremiological studies, he comments on how they have evolved over the years, what the main lines of research have been and what differences he observes between the United States and Europe. Besides, he describes how he became editor of the journal Proverbium, which was founded in Finland by the paremiologist Matti Kuusi, and his involvement in a publishing project that has been part of his life for nearly forty years. Finally, he reflects on the journal Paremia, possible lines of research in Paremiology, the future of proverbs and his own future.
Ce texte comprend l’interview de Wolfgang Mieder, professeur émérite à l'université du Vermont, parémiologue et parémiographe de renommée mondiale et éditeur de la revue scientifique Proverbium de 1984 à 2021. Wolfgang Mieder entreprend un voyage depuis le début de sa carrière, en tant que doctorant à l'université du Michigan, jusqu'à aujourd'hui, en expliquant les circonstances qui l'ont amené à entrer dans le monde des proverbes, en indiquant le sens que ces parémies ont dans sa vie et en présentant ses recherches. En ce qui concerne les études parémiologiques, il commente leur évolution au fil des ans, les principaux axes de recherche et les différences qu'il observe entre les États-Unis et l'Europe. Il décrit ensuite comment il est devenu éditeur de la revue Proverbium, fondée en Finlande par le parémiologue Matti Kuusi, et son implication dans un projet éditorial qui fait partie de sa vie depuis près de quarante ans. Finalement, il réfléchit à la revue Paremia, aux pistes de recherche possibles en Parémiologie, à l'avenir des proverbes et à son propre avenir.
