This article represents an effort to provide a foundation for the essential elements of the natural law moral theory on the basis of an ontological conception of the being of person as a subsistent, autonomous and relational entity immanent in the cosmos as well as transcending toward the absolute. To the extent that such is possible one can then elaborate a sense of responsibility, a wisdom regarding ends and prudence of means, in view of technology as a human resource enabling it to promote a view of the universe characterized by empathy, participation, communion, wonder and organic bonds.
