El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar el empleo de recursos propios de las vidas de santos y de héroes en los relatos biográficos sobre Miguel Cid. Se traza un panorama de aquellas obras que recogen parte de su biografía. De este modo, se explora la leyenda que se crea en torno a este escritor y a su relación con la Inmaculada Concepción. En segundo lugar, se analizan las imágenes autoriales que proyectaron estas narraciones, así como las estrategias de canonización que se utilizaron para fijar una imagen de Cid capaz de perdurar en el imaginario colectivo.
This article studies how the biographical accounts of Miguel Cid have been constructed based on certain resources typical of the lives of saints and heroes. To this end, it outlines an overview of the works that contain part of his biography. In this way, it explores the legend created around this writer and his relationship with the Immaculate Conception. Secondly, it offers an analysis of the authorial images projected by these narratives, as well as of the canonization strategies that were used to fix an image of Cid, capable to endure in the collective imagination.
