La autora desnuda sus raíces en este monográfico, de manera que vierte sus vivencias personales, así como las relaciones mantenidas con autores y recopiladores constituyendo un gran valor documental. Se mezclan las fuentes bibliográficas al uso con los documentos orales, la entrevista...Con un claro concepto del enfoque que sigue en su recorrido, el trabajo pretende vincular el cuento popular y maravilloso de transmisión oral con el análisis serio y riguroso del especialista que busca elementos comunes, en especial en el comienzo y cierre de las obras, que muy acertadamente vislumbra en las composiciones.
Por otro lado, la clasificación de los cuentos por su esquema organizativo expuesta es un claro ejemplo de las posibilidades de estudio que aún queda por efectuar del cuento guineano. Este hecho, unido a las tipologías de personajes reconocidas en los textos otorgan un valor añadido.

The bibliographic sources in use are mixed with oral documents, interviews, etc. With a clear concept of the approach that follows in its journey, the work aims to link the popular and wonderful tale of oral transmission with the serious and rigorous analysis of the specialist who seeks common elements, especially in the beginning and closing of the works, which he very correctly glimpses in the compositions.
On the other hand, the classification of the stories by their organizational scheme is a clear example of the possibilities of study that still remain to be carried out of the Guinean tale. This fact, together with the typologies of characters recognized in the texts, give added value.
