El presente artículo tiene como objetivo añadir nuevos datos a la biografía del deán de la catedral toledana, Diego de Castilla, personaje del que se han escrito muchas páginas en libros o artículos. El deán es muy conocido por el antagonismo que mostró con el Estatuto de limpieza de sangre del arzobispo Silíceo. A esas referencias notorias, se añaden ahora otros registros nuevos e inéditos, centrados en los libros que contuvo su biblioteca y sobre aquellos otros que hubieron de venderse en almoneda pública al tenerlos en los anaqueles de su librería Luis de Castilla, arcediano de la catedral de Cuenca, su hijo y heredero.
This article aims to add new information to the biography of Diego de Castilla, the dean of the Toledo Cathedral, a figure who has been extensively covered in books and articles. The dean is well-known for his opposition to the purity of blood statute promoted by Archbishop Silíceo. In addition to these well-known references, this article now introduces new and previously unpublished records, focusing on the books that were in his library and those that had to be sold at a public auction after being kept on the shelves of his library by Luis de Castilla, archdeacon of the Cuenca Cathedral, his son and heir.
