En este artículo se busca explorar el concepto de liminaridad en torno a los fantasmas o espectros en las narrativas de lo insólito. Estas figuras, entendidas como presencias-despresentes, han tenido siempre un carácter fronterizo por naturaleza, mas las esferas o límites entre los cuales han sido proyectadas han ido variando en función de la época y el modo literario, corriente o autor que las ha empleado, estableciendo diferentes nociones de lo fronterizo sintetizadas en su simbología, estética, axiología y praxis diegético-discursiva dentro de los textos. Desde estas coordenadas, mientras que las narrativas clásicas han centrado la modulación de estas (des)presencias en su carácter fronterizo entre lo mundano y lo divino o entre la vida y la muerte, en sentido meta-físico, las vertientes más modernas lo han hecho dentro del ámbito de lo realista o terrenal. En consecuencia, tales espectros pasaron a reflejar dilemas sociológicos reales y transportar esta noción de lo fronterizo hacia lo sociopolítico, lo psicológico o los conflictos interpersonales, utilizando estas presencias fantasmagóricas a modo de símbolos o alegorías sociológicas. Tomando en cuenta este cambio de paradigma, serán estudiadas las diversas modalidades contemporáneas en las cuales computan estas figuras (maravilloso, fantástico, neofantástico, inusual y otra modalidad a estudiar, cuyas características difieren de las anteriores, que será aquí denominada como extraordinario) y cómo cada una de ellas las ha ido proyectando, tanto en su aspecto diegético como en su tratamiento discursivo, ontológico, semántico, axiológico y estético.
This article seeks to explore the concept of liminality around ghosts or spectrums in the narratives of the uncommon. These figures, understood as dispresence-presences, have always had a borderline character by nature, but the spheres or boundaries in between which they have been projected have been changing according to the epoch and the literary mode, trends or authors who have used them, establishing different notions of frontiers, synthesized in its internal symbology, aesthetics, axiology and diegeticdiscursive praxis within the texts. From these coordinates, while the classic narratives have focused on the modulation of these (dis)presences in their frontier nature between the worldly and the divine or between life and death, in a meta-physical sense, the modern approaches have done so within the realm of the realistic or the earthly. Therefore, those spectrums began to reflect real sociological dilemmas and started to shift the frontier meaning to the sociopolitical or psychological aspect, or to interpersonal conflicts, using these phantasmagoric presences as sociological symbols or allegories. Taking into account this paradigm shift, different contemporary modalities in which these figures are present will be studied (marvelous, fantastic, neo-fantastic, unusual and another modality to be studied, whose characteristics differ from the previous ones, which will be called here as extra-ordinary), and how each of them has been projecting them, both in their diegetic aspect and in their discursive, ontological, semantic, axiological and aesthetic treatment.
