Este trabajo repasa el concepto ecdótico de error y sus tipologías con la ayuda de algunos pasajes de El Criticón de Baltasar Gracián. Por otro lado, reflexiona sobre las condiciones y herramientas de las enmiendas ope ingenii y ofrece un muestrario de casos problemáticos en esta obra: errores no detectados, enmiendas innecesarias y conjeturas certeras. El repaso de estos loci critici contribuye también a poner en valor la labor ejemplar de los principales editores y estudiosos del texto graciano.
This paper reviews the ecdotic concept of error and its typologies with the help of some passages from Baltasar Gracián’s El Criticón. On the other hand, it reflects on the conditions and tools of ope ingenii emendations and offers a sample of problematic cases in this work: undetected errors, unnecessary emendations and certain conjectures. The review of these loci critici also contributes to highlighting the exemplary work of the main editors and scholars of the Gratian text.
