El presente artículo ofrece la edición y estudio de un índice anónimo de remedios simples en lengua latina conservado en el folio 602 (563) de un manuscrito del siglo XIV, el Pal.lat.1094 de la Biblioteca Apostólica Vaticana. Este índice es de gran relevan-cia por tratarse del único testimonio manuscrito que contiene un listado alfabético de los remedios simples del libro VI del De simplicium medicamentorum facultatibus de Galeno en traducción latina de Gerardo de Cremona (s. XII). Los objetivos de este tra-bajo consistirán, por un lado, en sacar a la luz este texto inédito y, por otro, en analizar el léxico botánico del mismo, compuesto en su mayoría por arabismos y helenismos. De este modo, podremos perfeccionar la edición crítica y estudio del libro VI del tratado de los simples, pues este listado supone un testimonio muy cercano al que debió de ser el original de Gerardo, hoy perdido.
This article presents the edition and study of an anonymous Latin index on simple medical treatments preserved in the Folio 602 (563) in a 14th century manuscript, the Pal.lat.1094 in the Vatican Apostolic Library. This index is of great relevance because it is the only written testimony that includes an alphabetical list of the simple remedies from the twelfth century translation of Galen's De simplicium medicamentorum facul-tatibus, Book VI by Gerard of Cremona. On the one hand, this work will bring this un-published text to light whilst, on the other, it will analyse its botanical lexicon, mostly consisting of Arabisms and Hellenisms. Thus, we will be able to improve the critical edi-tion and study of book VI of the treatise on simple treatments, since this index is thought to be very close to what must have been Gerard's original text, now lost.
