El presente trabajo estudia la labor de Rafael Mir como cuentista. Las dos primeras partes están dedicadas a su vida y su obra, destacando sus inicios literarios en diversas revistas, la publicación de su primer cuento —Guerra—, la edición de un volumen de relatos o la creación de revistas poéticas. La tercera se centra ya en el cuento, analizando cada uno de sus libros. Finalmente, en la cuarta se ofrecen unas conclusiones que señalan que lo que verdaderamente marca su obra es el estilo: la concisión, el desparpajo, la inquietud y la crudeza con que narra sus historias.
This work studies Rafael Mir's job as a short-story writer. The first two parts are devoted to his life and work, highlighting his literary beginnings in various magazines, the publication of his first short story —Guerra (War)—, the publication of a volume of short stories and the creation of poetry magazines. The third section focuses on short stories, analysing each of his books. Finally, the fourth section offers some conclusions that point out that what really marks his work is his style: the conciseness, the boldness, the restlessness and the crudeness with who he narrates his stories.
