Mi trabajo está estructurado en una parte teórica que pretende el estudio de la silva neolatina. Este apartado, con sus diferentes secciones, consiste en analizar, desde el punto de vista intertextual, los paratextos y los metatextos de diferentes eruditos, en su gran mayoría barrocos, que teorizan sobre la silva. De forma habitual recurrimos a ellos para consultar las ediciones que realizaron de autores griegos y romanos de distintas épocas y géneros literarios; sin embargo, es menos conocida la labor de teorizar acerca de los géneros literarios cultivados tanto por los poetas neolatinos como por los autores que escriben en lengua vernácula. Es esta faceta la que desarrollaré. Por otro lado, hay otra parte más práctica, el objetivo de la cual es analizar unos versos del Volpone de Ben Jonson (1573-1637) teniendo en cuenta los principios expuestos en la parte teórica.
This paper opens with a theoretical part which aims to study the Neo-Latin sylva. This section, with its different sub-sections, consists of analysing, from an intertextual point of view, the paratexts and metatexts by different scholars, mostly baroque, who theorise about the sylva. We usually turn to them to consult their editions of Greek and Roman authors from different periods and literary genres; however, the work of theorising about the literary genres cultivated both by Neo-Latin poets and by authors writing in the vernacular is less well known, and it is this facet that I will develop. On the other hand, there is another, more practical part, the aim of which is to analyse some verses from Volpone, by Ben Jonson (1573-1637), taking into account the principles set out in the theoretical part.
