In this article we intend to publish the text of a short linguistic work from the documentary collection of Manuel Murguía kept in the archives of the Royal Galician Academy. Although the manuscript does not indicate the name of the author or the date of composition, we intend to prove that its author was Xoán Manuel Pintos. Moreover, we will explain that it was composed in the middle of the 19th century and that the historian Manuel Murgiuía used it as a source for one of the sections of the first volume of his History of Galicia. Finally, we do a small analysis of its content and the place it occupies in the history of Galician linguistics in the nineteenth century.
No presente artigo publicamos o texto inédito dun breve opúsculo lingüístico procedente do fondo documental de Manuel Murguía custodiado no arquivo da Real Academia Galega. Aínda que no manuscrito, un prego de catro follas, non se indica nin o nome do autor nin a data de composición, pretendemos demostrar que o seu autor foi Xoán Manuel Pintos. Amais, explicamos que foi composto a mediados do século XIX e que o historiador Manuel Murguía o empregou como fonte para un dos apartados do primeiro tomo da súa Historia de Galicia. Finalmente facemos unha pequena análise do seu contido e do lugar que ocupa na historia da lingüística galega do oitocentos.
