A partir de un interés ecocrítico que considera las representaciones literarias de la relación problemática entre lo humano y lo no humano, este artículo tiene como objetivo indagar la presencia del elemento bíblico en la obra poética de Homero Aridjis (México, 1940). Después de un primer marco teórico, que aclara precisamente el vínculo entre lo ecológico y lo religioso, se ofrece un análisis de algunos poemas en que el autor acude a la reelaboración de elementos procedentes de la Biblia a la hora de escenificar su preocupación ecológica. Se mostrarán las estrategias lingüísticas y literarias que construyen los poemas, para reflexionar acerca de las potencialidades de dichos elementos en la creación de nuevos significados e imágenes.
Based on an ecocritical interest in literary representations of the problematic relationship between the human and the non-human, this article aims to investigate the presence of the biblical element in the poetic word of Homero Aridjis (Mexico, 1940). After a first theoretical framework that clarifies the link between the ecological and the religious, an analysis is offered of some poems in which the author resorts to the reworking of elements from the Bible when staging his ecological concerns. The linguistic and literary strategies that construct the poems will be shown, to reflect on the potential of these elements in the creation of new meanings and images.
