Entre las obras de autores chinos que escriben sobre España, Notas de viaje por España de Linda es uno de los libros más influyentes y que ha despertado el interés de muchos intelectuales chinos. En lugar de ser un mero relato de viaje, este ensayo recorre la historia de España, con especial atención a la Guerra Civil y la transición democrática, aportando una profunda reflexión sobre la naturaleza humana y las actitudes de tolerancia e intransigencia en momentos cruciales. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo interpretar algunas lecciones y experiencias que ha extraído Linda de la historia contemporánea de España, así como indagar su hipotética aplicabilidad en China a través de un análisis comparativo de las similitudes y disparidades entre las dos sociedades, enfocado en los sistemas políticos y algunos factores socioculturales.
Among the works of Chinese authors who write about Spain, Linda’s Travel Notes of Spain is one of the most influential books and has aroused the interest of many Chinese intellectuals. Instead of being a mere travel story, this essay covers the history of Spain, with special attention to the Civil War and the democratic transition, providing a deep reflection on human nature and the attitudes of tolerance and intransigence at crucial moments. The objective of this work is to interpret some lessons and experiences that Linda has extracted from the contemporary history of Spain and investigate their hypothetical applicability in China through a comparative analysis of the similarities and disparities between the two societies, focused on the political systems and some sociocultural factors.
