Este trabajo aborda la relación concesiva en las construcciones yuxtapuestas en español y chino, con miras a explorar la posibilidad y las características de su formulación en contextos comunicativos reales. A diferencia de las afirmaciones presentes en la bibliografía, que creen que este mecanismo asindético ofrece una amplia variabilidad interpretativa, nuestro estudio parte de la Lingüística Pragmática y encuentra que manifiesta una gran limitación en la expresión concesiva. Para lograrla, es imprescindible el funcionamiento de la relación causal originada en los conocimientos enciclopédicos en la construcción, además de que se cumplan algunas condiciones gramaticales. En algunas ocasiones, puede conformarse una yuxtaposición concesiva mediante el empleo de determinados operadores modales. En todo caso, la yuxtaposición no constituye la forma usual de realizar la relación concesiva en estos idiomas.
This work tackles the concessive relation in juxtaposed constructions in Spanish and Chinese, aiming to explore the possibility and characteristics of their formulation in real communicative contexts. Unlike claims found in the literature, which believe that this asyndetic mechanism offers a wide interpretative variability, our study is grounded in Pragmatic Linguistics and finds that it exhibits a significant limitation in concessive expression. To achieve it, the functioning of the causal relation originated in encyclopedic knowledge in the construction is essential, in addition to the fulfillment of grammatical conditions. On some occasions, a concessive juxtaposition can be formed by using certain modal operators. In any case, juxtaposition is not the usual way to establish the concessive relation in these languages.
