Garai batean bokal-eufonia deitutako fenomeno-multzoari buruzko ikerketa ugari egin ziren euskal dialektologia sinkronikoaren esparruan, baina fenomeno horien azterketa diakro-nikoa ez dago hain aurreratuta, arreta gutxiago eman baitzaie, fenomeno historikoak diren heinean historiaurrea berreraikitzeko aukerarik ematen ez dutela eta. Lan honek -ubV ereduko epentesiaren bilakabide historikoaren berri dakar. Zehazki, epentesiaren lehenengo lekukotasunak, ageri den lu-rraldeak eta erabileraren joera historikoa(k) ditu aztergai: berrikuntza Euskara Zaharraz geroztik sortu eta hedatu zen eta, testu-corpus historikoa lagun, garai horietan izandako bilakaera aurkezten da hemen, bai hizkera herrikoiei begira, bai euskalkietako tradizio inprimatu kanonikoan izandako lekuari begira.
It has been a long time since Basque dialectologists investigated, from a syn-chronic point of view, a whole series of vowel interaction phenomena grouped under the name of euphonies. However, the investigation of the history of these phenomena has been relegated among Basque diachronists due, among other reasons, to the fact that they are relatively modern and do not allow us to reconstruct prehistoric stages. In this paper, I present the historical evo-lution of epenthetic -ubV, an innovation that emerged in the Old Basque period. Specifically, I have analyzed the first testimonies, the texts and places where it is documented, and the histori-cal trends of its use, taking into account both folk varieties and the printed and canonical writ-ten tradition.
