El artículo estudia el surgimiento de la epigrafía funeraria epicórica en las áreas lingüísticas ibérica y celtibérica entre los siglos III a.C. y I d.C. en relación con la presencia de actores romanos. A pesar de las dificultades para relacionarlos y establecer una relación causal directa, se demuestra que la correlación es algo más que una mera coincidencia.
The paper studies the rise of epichoric funerary epigraphy in the Iberian and Celtiberian linguistic areas between the third century BCE and the first century CE in relation to the presence of Roman actors. Despite the difficulties to relate these to and establish a direct causal relation, it shown that the correlation is more than a mere coincidence.
