El adverbio todavía suele describirse por sussignificados temporales.En este sentido, se han analizadoejemplos sincrónicos donde se muestranusosno temporales, peroderivados de esta temporalidad. A partir de este corpus, se han encontrado casos en los que este adverbio se combina con la conjunción copulativa y. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo es caracterizar esta combinación como una construccióny para ello: en primer lugar, se pretende describir suorigen y, en segundo lugar, qué significados ha tenido a lo largo del tiempo y por qué ha evolucionado de esta manera hasta una cercana diacronía.
The adverb todavíais typically described based on its temporal meanings. In this regard, synchronic examples have been analyzed that demonstrate non-temporal uses, although these are derived from its temporal aspect. From this corpus, cases have been found in which this adverb combines with the copulative conjunction y. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to characterize this combination as a construction. To achieve this, the study first seeks to describe its origin and, secondly, to explore the meanings it has taken on over time and why it has evolved in this way up to recent diachrony.
