El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la incidencia del discurso médico en el funcionamiento de las perífrasis vinculadas al aspecto gramatical. Para ello, examinaremos el tratamiento de las formaciones aspectuales en textos especializados, en concreto, del ámbito de la medicina. Partiendo de la hipótesis de que la situación comunicativa influye en el comportamiento de la categoría objeto de estudio, realizaremos un análisis comparativo de las perífrasis aspectuales empleadas en la comunicación ordinaria y en el discurso especializado con respecto a dos variables fundamentales, a saber: frecuencia de uso y valores semánticos. Como mostraremos, la categoría gramatical modifica sus propiedades distintivas en un discurso y otro.
The objective of this paper is to analyse the incidence of medical discourse in the functioning of the periphrases associated with the grammatical aspect. To this end, we examine the treatment of the aspectual formations in specialized texts, specifically in the field of medicine. Based on the hypothesis that the communicative situation influences the behaviour of the category object of study, we carry out a comparative analysis of the aspectual periphrases used in general communication and in specialized discourse by means of two fundamental variables, namely: frequency of use and semantic values. As we show, the grammatical category modifies its distinctive properties from one discourse to another.
