El presente artículo que está a punto de leer trata de forma central sobre la obra de la literatura clásica china Viaje al Oeste y sobre la trascendencia de su personaje principal El Rey Mono para la cultura china y los valores de la misma. Se hace necesario cuando nos enfrentamos a una distancia cultural de tal envergadura como la que existe entre oriente y occidente analizar los valores que configuran la cultura y que hacen de las personas que la componen seres que actúan de una u otra forma. En este caso, esta obra de la literatura clásica china nos abre la posibilidad de establecer relaciones entre los personajes de la novela y los fundamentos filosóficos de los valores de la sociedad china como son el taoísmo, el budismo y, principalmente, el confucianismo desde una perspectiva narrativa.
This paper that you are about to read is mainly working about the classical Chinese literature and the significance of its main character The Monkey King for the Chinese culture and it's own values. It becomes necessary when we face a cultural distance of such magnitude as the one that exist between East and West to analyze the values that make up the culture and that make the people who set up it beings that act in one way or another. In this case, this work of classical Chinese literature opens up the possibility of establishing relationships between the characters of the novel and the philosophical foundations of the values of Chinese society such as Taoism, Buddhism and mainly the Confucianism from a narrative view.
