    María Pilar García Mayo es Catedrática de Lengua y Lingüística Inglesa en la UPV/EHU y doctora en Lingüística (University of Iowa). Posee una licenciatura en Filología Anglo-germánica (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) y un máster en TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Enseñanza del inglés para hablantes de otras lenguas) y Lingüística (University of Iowa). Es también directora del grupo de investigación Language and Speech y su investigación abarca las áreas de adquisición de la morfosintaxis del inglés como L2/L3 desde una perspectiva generativa y el estudio de la interacción conversacional en inglés como lengua extranjera (ILE) (perspectivas cognitivo-psicolingüística y sociocultural). Asimismo, sus intereses incluyen la educación bi-/multilingüe.

    María Pilar García Mayo is Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the UPV/EHU and holds a PhD in Linguistics (University of Iowa). She holds a BA in Anglo-Germanic Philology (University of Santiago de Compostela) and a Master's degree in TESOL and Linguistics (University of Iowa). She is also the director of the Language and Speech research group and her research covers the areas of acquisition of the morphosyntax of English as a L2/L3 from a generative perspective and the study of conversational interaction in English as a foreign language (EFL) (cognitive-psycholinguistic and sociocultural perspectives). Her interests also include bi-/multilingual education.
