The article explores how the experience of exile in Argentina conditioned the artistic production of Victorina Durán (1899-1993), allowing her to incorporate elements from different cultures. Between 1937 and 1963, the artist established literary networks that responded to a dual inclination: the desire to achieve artistic success in the new context and the nostalgia for her native Spain. In addition to addressing Durán's artistic production and the dynamics of intellectual cooperation during her years of exile, the document investigates the configuration of the speaking place of the Madrid-born writer: how is the discursive consciousness of her 'marginal' place or point of view constructed?
