Este trabajo estudia el léxico utilizado en documentación notarial gaditana de finales del siglo XVIII en el inventario de los bienes semovientes. Nos interesa indagar en los mecanismos más notorios empleados en el proceso de nominación de estos animales, con una clara motivación conceptual y semántica y, en concreto, queremos destacar algunas voces y acepciones regionales o escasamente documentadas que sirven de base a estos nombres propios o apodos. El estudio muestra el reflejo en estos mecanismos de nominación de tendencias lingüísticas dialectales y una conexión con el medio físico y social del área estudiada.
This study examines the lexicon used in Cádiz notarial documentation from the late 18th century, specifically in the inventory of movable property. We are interested in investigating the most noticeable mechanisms employed in the process of naming these animals, with a clear conceptual and semantic motivation. Specifically, we want to highlight certain regional or scarcely documented words and meanings that form the basis of these proper names or nicknames. The study shows how these naming mechanisms reflect dialectal linguistic trends and a connection with the physical and social environment of the area under study.
