Análisis del tratamiento de las estrategias de cortesía verbal atenuadora en los actos directivos en manuales de B1

    Partiendo del estudio teórico de las estrategias de atenuación verbal y de la teoría de la cortesía, se ha realizado un análisis contrastivo y cualitativo de tres manuales de ELE de nivel B1. El objetivo ha sido determinar si las estrategias atenuadoras verbales que aparecen en los manuales se adaptan a las directrices del Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes y, si es así, cómo lo hacen. Una vez valorados los resultados hemos concluido que, aunque la valoración no es negativa, ninguno de los manuales trabaja al completo las estrategias atenuadoras planteadas por el PCIC, por lo que podríamos apuntar que el tratamiento de la cortesía aún no ha alcanzado el protagonismo que consideramos debería tener en los contenidos comunicativos de los manuales de ELE.

    Based on the theoretical study of verbal mitigation strategies and the theory of politeness, a contrasting and qualitative analysis has been conducted on three Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) manuals at the B1 level. The aim has been to determine whether the verbal mitigation strategies presented in the manuals align with the guidelines of the Curriculum Plan of the Cervantes Institute, and if so, how they do so. After evaluating the results, we have concluded that, although the assessment is not negative, none of the manuals fully address the verbal mitigation strategies outlined by the Cervantes Institute Curriculum Plan. Therefore, we could suggest that the treatment of politeness has not yet attained the prominence that we believe it should have in the communicative content of ELE manuals.
