Ante los problemas de interpretación de los sufijos te y ka de la lengua íbera, se presenta aquí una aproximación alternativa en la que te sería una partícula marca de foco (quizás limitada a la función de agente) y ka quizás un sufijo marca de tópico. Se considera que esta hipótesis es en la actualidad preferible para te y concordante con casos de te interpretables como cópula; mientras que la propuesta para ka está a un nivel similar que la de un caso direccional destinativo (pero no dativo).
In order to address the issues surrounding the interpretation of the Ancient Iberian language suffixes te and ka, an alternative approach is presented here. This alternative approach suggests that te would be a focus-marking particle (perhaps limited to the agent function) and ka perhaps a topic-marking suffix. With regard to the proposal concerning te, it is regarded as the most promising at moment, and is consistent with instances where te can be interpreted as a copula. In contrast, the topic-marking proposal for ka is deemed to be a hypothesis with a similar plausibility to that of a directional destinative (but not dative) case.
