The article analyzes three collections of poems by the Mexican poet Luis Felipe Fabre, Cabaret Provenza (2007), La sodomía en la Nueva España (2010) and Poemas de terror y de misterio (2013) through a theoretical concept created by Fabre himself, the “hole”, from an essay on literary criticism, Leyendo agujeros (2005), which is proposed as the poetics of his further works. It is shown that almost all of the author’s poetry is written with the same palimpsestuous logic whose ultimate goal is to denounce and challenge the violence of certain discourses of power, an aesthetic based on rewriting the presence of those that have been unfairly erased from Mexican official history.
