The Nivaclé communities of Gran Chaco inhabit territories occupied since the nineteenth century by the Argentine and Paraguayan States. Towards the end of the 1970s, the anthropologist Miguel Chase-Sardi carried out an ethnographic work in which he collected stories of the Nivaclé orature, transcribed, organized and published them under the suggestive name of Pequeño Decamerón Nivaclé, postulating with this title a literary statute for the resulting corpus. The anthology, made up of stories narrated by different members of the communities, is choral in nature and presents a diversity of themes, generics and styles. This paper aims to analyze the changes that are manifested between the different generations represented in the narratives, with emphasis on the cultural disputes and changes in habits that arose at that time of the collection due to the advance of colonial-modern practices and the agrarian frontier.
