La Ley Orgánica 3/2007 del 22 de marzo para la Igualdad Efectiva entre mujeres y hombres establece en el Título II, Capítulo II, la acción de la educación en materia de igualdad entre mujeres y hombres en los distintos estadios del ámbito educacional, especialmente en el artículo 24 f se requiere «El establecimiento de medidas educativas destinadas al reconocimiento y enseñanza del papel de las mujeres en la Historia». Bajo estas premisas, este artículo ofrece el estudio de la participación en la esfera pública de una de las mujeres relevantes en la historia de España a comienzos del siglo XX: Sofía Casanova. A partir del análisis de la situación social de la mujer en España, se contextualiza la significación del estreno teatral de la obra La Madeja. Asimismo, desde una perspectiva feminista se analizan los conflictos subyacentes en la misma con significación relevante para el estudio del desarrollo de la situación de las mujeres españolas durante el mencionado siglo y su lucha por la igualdad.
The Organic Law 3/2007 March 22nd for the Effective Equality between women and men, establishes in its Title II, Chapter II, actions for education in terms of equality between women and men in the different stages of the educational sphere, especially in its article 24f in which it is required «The establishment of educational regulations destined to the recognition and teaching of the role of women in History», Under this premise this article offers the study of the participation in the public sphere by one of the relevant women in the Spanish history at the beginning of the 20th Century: Sofía Casanova. The significance of the play La Madeja is contextualized upon the analysis of the social role of women in Spain in the first two decades of the mentioned Century, and likewise, the underlying conflicts with a relevance for the study of the development of Spanish women�s situation during the past Century and their fight for Equality are studied from a feminist perspective.
