The aim of this paper is to read again some related passages on the presence of poetry in the three Quixotes. My purpose today is to provide materials of that interaction from an element of the first Quixote: incorporated poetry and reflection on this and poets. Both of them are singular in Cervantes’ first part of Don Quixote -compared to other works of time-, which, however, does not disdain Avellaneda in 1614. Cervantes incorporates in 1615 some texts directly related to what is offered, from a poetic perspective, by Avellaneda.
