This article analyzes, from philological approaches, the different documents that have come down to us from the geographical descriptions that the Aragonese Cosme Bueno made with his son Bartolomé on behalf of the Viceroy of Peru in the eighteenth century. Until today, these materials had been studied by historians who had prioritized handwritten copies in front of the appendices published by its author in El Conocimiento de los Tiempos. These pages hope to serve to observe that the appendices and not the handwritten copies should be used in the study of the linguistic uses practiced by the author in the eighteenth century.
