La historia del español salvadoreño ha sido muy poco estudiada en general (Ramírez Luengo, 2010), y entre los vacíos que existen está el tema de los indigenismos léxicos que se han incorporado a la lengua. Precisamente por eso, esta investigación pretende abordar la influencia léxica de las lenguas indígenas en el español de El Salvador de los siglos XVII y XVIII; con este propósito, se estudiarán 34 documentos de estos siglos escritos en la región (Ramírez Luengo, 2017), de los que se extraerán las unidades léxicas para analizar las siguientes cuestiones: a) lenguas de donde se toman; b) campos léxicos en que se utilizan; c) primeras dataciones de las mismas. El propósito final es contribuir a la historia léxica del español de Centroamérica y conocer mejor cómo las lenguas indígenas influyen en este.
The history of the Salvadorean Spanish remains understudied until now (Ramírez Luengo, 2010), and the indigenisms are not an exception. This paper aims to study the lexical influence of the indigenous languages in the Spanish spoken in this country during 17th. And 18th. Centuries (Ramírez Luengo, 2017). For this purpose, a corpus of 34 historical documents will be studied in order to analyze the following issues: a) the etymological origin of indigenisms; b) lexical fields where they are used, c) their first appearance. The final goal is to increase our knowledge of the lexical history of Central American Spanish and also the influence of indigenous languages in it.
