Este artículo analiza la alternancia absolutivo/dativo del verbo jarraitu (‘seguir’) en textos académicos. El objetivo es aclarar si la proliferación del absolutivo en este tipo de textos es consecuencia de la adaptación del euskara a los registros específicos. Para ello, considero dos posibles influencias: a) el régimen del préstamo segitu y b) el gran uso de nombres inanimados de los textos académicos. Para comprobar las dos hipótesis, he examinado corpus históricos, orales actuales y científico-técnicos. Los resultados muestran que la segunda hipótesis es más adecuada. De hecho, parece que la tendencia a usar nombres abstractos en textos académicos ha reforzado el uso del absolutivo.
Artikulu honetan jarraitu aditzak duen absolutibo/datibo alternantzia aztertzen da testu akademikoetan. Helburua da argitzea testu horietan ugari den absolutiboaren erabilera euskara-erregistro espezifikoei egokitzearen ondorioa ote den. Horretarako, bi balizko eragini begiratu diet: a) erdaratiko segituren erregimenari eta b) testu akademikoetako izen bizigabeen erabilera handiari. Bi hipotesiak frogatzeko, corpus historiko, egungo ahozko eta zientifiko-teknikoak aztertu ditut. Emaitzek erakusten dute testu akademikoek absolutiboranzko joera indartu dutela. Izan ere, izen bizigabeek absolutibo marka hartzeko duten joerak testu akademikoetan absolutiboa erabiltzea indartu du.
This article analyzes the absolutive/dative alternation of the verb jarraitu (‘to follow’) in academic texts. The objective is to clarify whether the proliferation of the absolutive marking in these texts is a consequence of adapting the grammar to specific registers. For this, I consider two possible influences: a) the regime of the segitu loan and b) the extensive use of inanimate nouns in academic texts. To test the two hypotheses, I examined historical, current oral and scientific-technical corpora. The results show that the second hypothesis is more adequate. In fact, it seems that the tendency to use abstract nouns in academic texts has reinforced the use of the absolutive case.
