, Dolores Torres Medina, Cristian Díaz Rodríguez , 2023, ISBN 978-3-631-89549-8, págs. 335-350El objetivo de este artículo es doble: por un lado, presentar una obra poco conocida en el ámbito de la lexicografía hispano-amerindia el Vocabulario español- guaraní del jesuita italiano Blas Pretovio, más específicamente una copia de esta obra que se halla en Cracovia. Por otro, analizar si el carácter religioso del autor y las circunstancias en las que se confeccionó la obra, de alguna manera, influyeron en el contenido de esta. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo el análisis del vocabulario relacionado con la religión. Los resultados obtenidos presentan la importancia del contenido religioso en la producción lexicográfica del misionero.
The aim of this article is twofold: on the one hand to present a little-known work in the field of Spanish-Amerindian lexicography i.e., the Spanish Guarani voca- bulary of the Italian Jesuit Blas Pretovio, more specifically a copy of this work found in Krakow. On the other, to analyze whether the author’s religious character and the circumstances in which the work was made somehow influence its content. For this, an analysis of the entries related to religion has been carried out. The results obtained show the importance of religious content in the missionary lexicographical production.
