L’articolo cerca di ricostruire il profilo biografico di Pirro Bocchi, testimone italiano dell’Información del 1569. Dalla lettura dei documenti emerge l’immagine di un uomo malaccorto e poco affidabile, diversa da quella di banchiere e intellettuale che ci ha implicitamente consegnato la tradizione critica.
This article aims to reconstruct the biographical profile of Pirro Bocchi, an Italian witness of the Información in 1569. From the reading of the documents there emerges the image of a misguided and unreliable man, different from that of an intellectual banker which has implicitly been delivered by the critical tradition.
