A linguagem dos memes: aspectos estéticos e semióticos dos conteúdos digitais

    Este artículo busca presentar un marco teórico que comprenda los memes de internet como un lenguaje. Apoyados en las principales investigaciones sobre el tema, sostenemos que los memes comparten, en diferentes grados, características intrínsecas a su lenguaje. Enumeramos ocho factores comunes a estos contenidos digitales que configuran lo que llamamos el lenguaje de los memes: amadorismo, intertextualidad, replicabilidad, síntesis representacional, humor, identidades y pertenencia, longevidad y multimodalidad. Finalmente, construimos una comprensión acerca de qué conflictos y desafíos potenciales surgen de esta intersección y la importancia de dominar estos atributos, para minimizarlos.

    This article seeks to present a theoretical framework that understands internet memes as a language. Supported by the main research on the topic, we argue that memes share, to different degrees, characteristics intrinsic to their language. We identify eight common factors in these digital contents that constitute what we refer to as the language of memes: amateurism, intertextuality, replicability, representational synthesis, humor, identities and belonging, longevity and multimodality. Finally, we develop an understanding of potential conflicts and challenges that arise from this intersection and the importance of master these attributes to minimize them.
