En este artículo se pretende demostrar la función persuasiva del exordio en las columnas que componen el volumen Una historia de España. Tras introducir el concepto de exordio desarrollado en la retórica clásica y en Perelman/Olbrechts-Tyteca (1989), se presentará la tipología textual de las columnas de autor y la obra objeto de estudio. En el análisis, se comprobará que las secuencias de apertura de los textos del corpus seleccionado contienen elementos como la función catafórica, la construcción de la imagen del locutor, la relación con el destinatario y el uso estratégico del registro, configurándolas como el segmento más importante en la construcción de la macroestructura de un discurso persuasivo feliz (Lo Cascio 2009).
This article aims to demonstrate the persuasive function of the exordium in the columns that make up the volume Una historia de España. After introducing the concept of exordium developed in classical rhetoric and in Perelman/Olbrechts-Tyteca (1989), the textual typology of the opinion columns and the work under study will be presented. The analysis will show that the opening sequences of the texts in the selected corpus contain elements such as the cataphoric function, the construction of the locutor’s image, the relationship with the recipient, and the strategic use of register, configuring them as the most important segment in building the macrostructure of a successful persuasive discourse (Lo Cascio 2009).
