En este artículo se ofrece la referencia de una serie de documentos inéditos sobre el interrogatorio a que fue sometido en 1584 un varón de nombre Ottaviano de Gante (o Urrea), que decía ser hijo de Carlos V. El interrogatorio y las cartas citadas se conservan en el Archivo General de Simancas. En las respuestas mencionó la decisiva participación en las peripecias de su vida del aragonés Juan de Verzosa, con datos que colman algunas lagunas de la vida del humanista, y de otros personajes notables como Francisco de Borja, Pedro Juan Núñez y los diplo-máticos españoles en Roma y en Venecia
This paper offers the reference to a series of unpublished documents about the interrogation to which a man named Ottaviano de Gante (or Urrea), who claimed to be the son of Carlos V, was subjected in 1584. The interrogation and the letters mentioned in it are preserved in the Archivo General of Simancas. In the answers he mentioned the decisive participation in the adventures of his life of the Aragonese Juan de Verzosa, with data that fill some gaps in the life of the humanist, and of other notable characters such as Francisco de Borja, Pedro Juan Núñez and the Spanish diplomats in Rome and Venice
