Se investiga el modo en que la crítica aborda la lectura en los medios de comunicación. A partir de ciento sesenta y cinco colaboraciones que el escritor y periodista Jorge Carrión publicó en el diario La Vanguardia entre 2019 y 2023, se selecciona una muestra significativa de estudio. Mediante técnicas descriptivas, reflexiones teórico-críticas y revisión de bibliografía científica, ensayística y periodística, se profundiza en los mecanismos que articulan la mirada lúcida de Carrión centrándose en su perspectiva sobre la lectura. Al reunir y examinar textos dispersos en la prensa, se obtiene una visión de conjunto que marca el rumbo de la crítica cultural y de la prescripción en un mercado saturado de ofertas.
An investigation is made into the way in which critics reflect on reading in the media. Upon the basis of a hundred and sixty-five contributions the writer and journalist Jorge Carrión published in the daily newspaper La Vanguardia between 2019 and 2023, a significant sample is selected for study. By means of descriptive techniques, theoretical-critical reflections and systematic revision of scientific, essayist and journalistic bibliography, the mechanisms that articulate Carrión’s lucid vision are studied in depth, focusing on his perspective on reading. Through gathering and examining dispersed texts from the press, an overview is obtained which shows the course of cultural criticism and of prescription in a market saturated with offers.
