Este trabajo tiene como objetivo describir y analizar la presencia de mujeres escritoras decimonónicas (nacidas desde 1800 hasta 1870) en las escasas Historias de la Literatura Española para visibilizar la escritura femenina y contribuir al conocimiento de la literatura infantil en sus orígenes. En primer lugar, se contextualizan las condiciones de la literatura infantil a finales del siglo XIX en cuanto a su producción, transmisión y recepción. En segundo lugar, se analizan los manuales disponibles de Historia de la Literatura Infantil Española y se extraen resultados relativos a la nómina de escritoras y las obras seleccionadas. Estos datos permiten extraer conclusiones sobre la presencia, valoración y contribución a la literatura de las escritoras decimonónicas en su momento y el reconocimiento recibido posteriormente en las historias de la literatura de cara a futuras investigaciones.
This paper aims to describe and analyze the presence of nineteenth-century women writers (born between 1800 and 1870) in the Histories of Spanish Literature in order to make female writing visible and contribute to the knowledge of children's literature in its origins. First, it contextualizes the conditions of children's literature at the end of the 19th century in terms of its production, transmission, and reception. Second, it analyzes the available manuals on the History of Spanish Children's Literature and extracts findings related to the list of women writers and their selected works. These data allow us to draw conclusions about the presence, appreciation, and contribution of 19th-century women writers at the time and the recognition they received later in the histories of literature for future research.
