Este estudio recoge las medidas de accesibilidad que ofrecen los teatros de Valencia para las personas con discapacidad sensorial durante la temporada 2023-2024. Para ello, se exploraron 26 teatros de la ciudad con el objetivo de describir si ofrecen representaciones accesibles y mediante qué servicios propios de la traducción audiovisual y la accesibilidad (subtitulación, audiodescripción o interpretación en lengua de signos). Igualmente, comprobamos si disponen de otras medidas de accesibilidad, por ejemplo, en relación con la reserva de butacas, movilidad por el edificio, programas adaptados, etc., y si sus webs recogen su posible oferta accesible con claridad. Para recabar los datos, se hizo un análisis de los sitios web y se consultó con los responsables de los teatros. Los resultados apuntan a una oferta accesible limitada en lo referido a la adaptación de contenidos, y prácticamente inexistente de otros servicios de accesibilidad relacionados con la experiencia de ir al teatro.
This study collects the accessibility measures offered by the theaters of Valencia for people with sensory disabilities during the 2023-2024 season. For this purpose, 26 theaters in the city were explored with the aim of describing whether they offer accessible performances for this group and by means of which services related to audiovisual translation and accessibility (subtitling, audio description, or sign language interpretation). We also checked whether they have other accessibility measures, for example, in relation to seat reservations, mobility around the building, programs adapted, etc., and whether their websites clearly state their possible accessible offerings. To collect the data, an analysis of the websites was carried out and the theater managers were consulted. The results point to a limited accessible offer in relation to the adaptation of contents, and virtually nonexistent of other accessibility elements or services related to the experience of going to the theater.
