Peirce aplicados al silencio en su concepción como signo. En el silencio acústico, interpretado como signo, el representamen es la configuración específica de las ondas sonoras, la cual está anclada en el aquí y ahora. El fundamento es la variación o contraste. La ambigüedad o polisemia del silencio la encontramos entonces en el objeto representado y, por lo tanto, también en su interpretante vinculado. El objeto inmediato puede remitir al descenso de decibelios que incorpora el representamen y el interpretante inmediato la idea o detección de esa reducción. El objeto mediato y el interpretante final sólo se puede analizar en cada caso específico de semiosis.
This article proposes a generic and formal definition of the three basic components of the sign structure elaborated by Charles S. Peirce applied to silence in its conception as a sign. In acoustic silence, interpreted as a sign, the representamen is the specific configuration of the sound waves, which is anchored in the here and now. The ground is variation or contrast. The ambiguity or polysemy of silence is then found in the represented object and, therefore, also in its linked interpretant. The immediate object can refer to the decrease in decibels that the representamen incorporates, and the immediate interpretant to the idea or detection of that reduction. The mediate object and the final interpretant can only be analyzed in each specific case of semiosis.
