    El artículo analiza desde la interdisciplinariedad cómo el documental Xochitiotzin: vida y color (2022) utiliza la semiótica transdiscursiva para representar la identidad y cultura tlaxcalteca. Exa-mina la representación del artista Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin como un “otro” subalterno, quien, a través de su obra, construye representaciones dignas de otros subalternos y desafía las narrativas hegemónicas.

    The article analyzes from an interdisciplinary perspective how the documentary Xochitiotzin: Life and Color (2022) uses transdiscursive semiotics to represent Tlaxcaltecan identity and culture. It examines the representation of the artist Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin as a subaltern “other” who, through his work, constructs dignified representations of other subalterns and challenges hegemonic narratives.
